On-Set Audio Engineer
T.J. has always had a passion for music and film. Growing up he always entered in school talent shows doing skits and playing music. By the time he graduated high school, he could play 5 different instruments and took on a fascination in recording good music.
At the age of 19 he couldn’t decide on going to college for music or film and had no way of paying the tuition for the schools he wanted to attend. In order to achieve his goals, being the patriot he always was, he decided to enlist into the Marine Corps for a four year tour and give it time to think about what he wanted to do with his career. T.J. became very successful in the Marines having one combat tour in Iraq and picking up the rank of Sergeant in less than four years. Upon completion of his four years, he found a bachelor of arts degree program at The Art Institute of Atlanta for Audio Production. The program offered a degree for both sound, music, and audio for video. Being that he had a passion for both music and film, he jumped aboard right away.
T.J. continues to work on his degree to this day using the GI Bill to pay for his tuition and is two quarters away from getting his bachelors degree. While in school, he’s done several short films for Campus Movie Fest and started doing extra work on TV and films. While also pursuing a career in acting, he networks extensively with other people in the industry to find work for acting, music, and audio for films. Finally after making enough connections, T.J. discovered Spirit World Productions. Having watched their first film, The Doorway, he became interested and wanted to get involved right away. After meeting and talking with Chase Smith and the rest of his crew….
